Bodega Chacra "Barda" 2015

100% Pinot noir
A still red wine from the Patagonia region of Argentina.

Complex and evolved. Leather, underwood, coffee, tobacco.

Tasting Notes

The 2015 Barda from Bodega Chacra has a great, complex bouquet that is dominated by tertiary notes: leather, underwood, coffee, tobacco and a hint of varnish.

The mouthfeel is elegant and warm, spicy.

The finish is long.

Pinot noir

Red wine grape variety

Pinot noir is a type of red wine grape that belongs to the Vitis vinifera genus. It’s also probable that the name refers to wines produced mainly from Pinot noir grapes. The name comes from the words “pine” and “black” in French. The name pine refers to the grape variety’s tightly clustered, pine cone-shaped fruit bunches.

Triple "A"

The Triple “A” movement is an Italian movement created in July 2001 by Luca Gargano.

The “three As” refer to “Artisti, Agricoltori, Artigiani” (Artists, Agriculturist, Artisan).

Their manifesto maintains that there is a tendency, in the wine world, to use modern techniques and produce standardised wine, untrue to the nature of the grape and the terroir worked. The Triple “A” movement aims to group winemakers who disagree with this way of vinifying.
