Tasting notes and reviews for negroamaro wines.
Negroamaro
Negroamaro is a southern Italian red wine grape variety. It is almost entirely grown in Apulia, especially in Salento, the peninsula that can be considered Italy’s “heel.” Wines made from this grape can be very dark in color. Negroamaro wines have a rustic quality to them, mixing scent with an earthy bitterness. The grape produces some of Apulia’s best red wines, particularly when blended with the fragrant Malvasia Nera grape, as in Salice Salentino.
