Tasting Notes

The 2019 Weiss N.10 from Strohmeier estate has a nice straw yellow colour.

On the nose it’s sapid and floral. It unfolds with notes of white flowers, and bitter almond. Some vegetal is there too.

The mouthfeel is round and full and slightly grippy. On the palate there is a nice note of marzipan.

The finish is medium long.

Varietal

Pinot blanc is a grape that is used to make white wine. Pinot noir has undergone a point genetic mutation. Pinot noir is genetically unstable, and a point mutation occurs when a vine produces only black fruit except for one cane that produces white fruit.
