Tasting Notes
The 2014 Perle from Wolffer Estate is golden in colour.
On the nose I find aromas of honeysuckle, fine yeast notes. A ripe fruitiness comes through with peach and pear coming to mind. There are also elegant toasty and creamy notes from the lees.
The mouth-feel is vibrant and lush. On the palate it has a great concentration of fruit that is balanced by an elegant acidity, minerality and fine yeast notes.
The well-integrated oak provides a solid structure for the 2014 Perle from Wolffer Estate. Elegant finish, long.

Chardonnay
Green-skinned grape variety used in wine production
Chardonnay is a grape variety with a green skin that is used to make white wine. The grape variety originated in eastern France’s Burgundy wine region, but it is now grown all over the world, from England to New Zealand. Growing Chardonnay is seen as a rite of passage for new and emerging wine regions, as well as an easy entry into the international wine market.
